According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, FC Bayern is close to signing a promising talent from South America.

As the Italian wrote on Monday on the short message service X, 17-year-old Virgilio Olaya will move to FC Bayern in the winter. Romano reported an oral agreement.

Olaya is under contract with Ecuadorian first division club SD Aucas. The transfer insider had recently brought the defensive talent into play at FC Bayern. The people of Munich now seem to be a good deal further along.

Olaya is said to be signing a contract with FC Bayern until the summer of 2030, which will come into force next February. Then the youngster comes of age.

It is not known how much the 1.88 meter tall defender will cost. The only thing that is clear is that the teenager will first be loaned out after signing with FC Bayern. According to Romano, FC Bayern is already working on finding a suitable club for Olaya.

FC Bayern has numerous top talents in mind

FC Bayern has repeatedly signed promising talents from abroad in recent years.

Olaya could not be the only newcomer who will soon join the German record champions from South America.

Most recently, the “Globo” portal brought 17-year-old José Lucas Gomes da Silva – Zé Lucas for short – from SC Recife into discussion with FC Bayern. The midfielder drew attention to himself at the U17 World Cup with the Brazilian youth team. Ederson Castillo from LDU Quito, Tyson Espy from Orange County SC and Johannes Moser from FC Liefering were also traded on Säbener Straße.

Of course, German talent is also in focus at FC Bayern, especially the 16-year-old whiz kid Kennet Eichhorn from Hertha BSC. The youngster has been linked with a move to Munich for a long time.
