Behind Conegliano who won easily in Cuneo, the Tuscans overwhelm Perugia and reach Igor who beat Busto in a comeback at the tie break. Vero Volley takes fourth place

Simone Corbetta and Rudy Palermo

December 20 – 11.29pm – MILAN

On the second day back, Conegliano’s run continues and doesn’t struggle in Cuneo while Scandicci overwhelms Perugia and takes second place taking advantage of Novara’s bad day in Busto. Vero Volley crushes Chieri and overtakes him in fourth position. At the bottom Marignano beats Bergamo and brings Perugia and Monviso Pinerolo closer

Honda Cuneo Granda Volley-Prosecco Doc A.Carraro Imoco Conegliano 0-3 (20-25, 10-25, 22-25)

Conegliano forgets the knockout at the Club World Cup by beating Cuneo at home. It ends 0-3, with Santarelli’s team which, without Zhu and Gabi, only partially suffers in the first and third sets. The Panthers, however, find the right plays from Haak and MVP Lubian in key moments, 11 points with 7/8 and 4 blocks. For the Piedmontese, with Allaoui starting for Signorile, too many errors in attack to worry the Italian champions

Wedge: Diop 7 points, Muri team 5, Ace team 3.

Conegliano: Haak 16 points, Muri team 7 (Lubian 4), Ace team 3 (Daalderop 3).

Bartoccini-Mc Restauri Perugia-Savino Del Bene Scandicci 0-3 (15-25, 19-25, 15-25)

No problem for Scandicci, still in world form in the 0-3 success on the Perugia pitch. Black Angels too fragile in every fundamental, starting with the attack, while Savino del Bene has the usual Antropova, MVP with 16 points and 5 aces. The locals broke away early in the first and third sets, remaining attached in the second half, only to suffer the final sprint from the Tuscans, who experienced an evening of grace from 9 meters (7 aces and 5 errors).

Perugia: Williams 12 points, Muri team 8 (Williams 4), Ace team 2.

Scandicci: Antropova 16 points, Muri team 4, Ace team 7 (Antropova 5).

Eurotek Laica Uyba-Igor Gorgonzola Novara 2-3 (25-22, 25-19, 18-25, 21-25, 11-15)

Novara’s feat that turns the match on the Busto pitch in the Ticino derby. Bernardi’s team prevailed in the tiebreak after being 2-0 down, relying on the extraordinary performance of Tolok, 36 points (season high in the league, surpassing the 34 of Kipp and Haak). Barbolini’s team sends Igor out of gear with a great defense in the first two sets, then the Piedmontese change register in serving, limiting their opponents with the block defense and also nullifying Obossa’s 31 points.

Bust: Obossa 31 points, Muri team 11, Ace team 7 (Obossa and Parra 3).

Novara: Tolok 36 points, Muri team 12, Ace team 7 (Tolok 3).

Numia Vero Volley Milano-Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri ’76 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-15)

A show of strength from Milan who, without the affected Pietrini and Fersino, beat Chieri 3-0 in just 67 minutes. Lavarini’s team impresses in every fundamental, particularly in the block-defense correlation, but Numia runs like a Swiss watch. Egonu, with 21 points and 5 blocks, is unstoppable apart from some uncertainty at the start, and is MVP, but the performances of Piva and Lanier are worth mentioning. For Chieri it was an evening to forget in attack, with only Nemeth able to keep up with the Lombard team.

Milan: Egonu 21 points, Muri team 9 (Egonu 5), Ace team 5.

Chieri: Nemeth 17 points, Muri team 3, Ace team 1.

Il Bisonte Firenze-Megabox Ondulati Del Savio Vallefoglia 1-3 (18-25, 25-23, 18-25, 23-25)

At the Pala Big Mat Vallefoglia went 3-1, winning their fourth consecutive victory in the championship and three very important points in the standings which took them to sixth place at 23 points. Pistola’s girls managed to impose their game well, relying on Omoruyi (19 points), Giovannini (15) and Bici (13) in the offensive phase. Candi’s performance was also very good with 10 points on the scoresheet. For the hosts, 21 points for Knollema and 20 for Bukilic are not enough to avoid defeat. Bisonte remains at 13 points, eleventh in the standings.

Florence: Knollema 21 points, team blocks 9, team aces 7 (3 Bukilic)

Vallefoglia: Omoruyi 19 points, team blocks 7, team aces 4.

Omag-Mt San Giovanni In Marignano-Bergamo 3-1 (25-21, 27-29, 25-20, 25-18)

Important victory for San Giovanni in Marignano against Bergamo. The Romagna team gained three precious points for survival, remaining at the forefront, but only two points behind Pinerolo (third from last) and three from Florence. The contribution of the new purchase, the Chinese Zhuang, was exceptional, scoring 27 points. Kochurina (20) and the veteran Ortolani (15) also did well in attack. For Bergamo, the usual Kipp is not enough to save the situation (14 points) and prevent the Lombards from a third consecutive defeat. The wall phase for Parisi’s girls needs to be reviewed

San Giovanni in Marignano: Zhuang 27 points, team blocks 8 (5 Kochurina), team aces 2

Bergamo: Kipp 14 points, team blocks 0, team aces 6

Wash4green Monviso Volley-Cbf Balducci Hr Macerata 2-3 (22-25, 13-25, 25-20, 25-17, 8-15)

After a battle of over 2 hours, Macerata emerged victorious from Pala Bus Company, in the tie-break.
