FC Erzgebirge Aue celebrated an important home win in the fight to stay in the third division. Jens Härtel’s team won against bottom team Schweinfurt 05 thanks to two own goals and keeper Lord.

FC Erzgebirge Aue has achieved a conciliatory end to the 2025 football year. The Saxons beat newly promoted Schweinfurt 05 4-0 in their last third division game. The violets benefited from two own goals from the bottom team, and keeper Louis Lord also proved to be insurmountable.

The guests got off to a better start, Lord saved against Endres (10th). Then Marvin Stefaniak won the ball while pressing and Pius Krätscher maneuvered his cross into his own goal (21′). Afterwards, Lord cleaned the box several times. Shortly before the break, Ekin Celebi tried to scratch a deflected shot from Ryan Malon off the line, but that apparently failed, the referee decided it was 2-0 (45th).

Before the break, Aue had to suffer against the attacking guests.

Captain Stefaniak with the degree

After the break, Aue largely had the game under control. Especially since defender Erik Majetschak headed the 3-0 after a corner (59th). Schweinfurt’s morale was now broken, and as a result the Violets missed a few more opportunities to make it 4-0. Captain Stefaniak managed to do this after Erik Weinhauer hit the post in stoppage time.
