The collector’s edition “Abba – Studio Albums” will be released on May 27th and, in addition to the most recently released comeback record “Voyage”, also contains all eight other studio albums by the Swedish pop band.

It took ABBA forty years to offer their fans new material again. Now the band is releasing a large collector’s box containing all their works from 1973 to 2021: “Ring Ring”, “Waterloo”, “ABBA”, “Arrival”, “The Album”, “Voulez-Vous”, “Super Trouper, The Visitors, and Voyage. In addition, titles such as “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)” and “Fernando”, which are not found on any of the studio albums and have previously only been released as singles, may be included on an extra disc.

The collection will be available as a ten-piece CD or vinyl set. As a bonus there is a 40-page booklet, photos of the band from their 49-year career and information on all the albums. From June 10th, all albums will also be released individually as Picture Disc LPs. Preorders are here possible.

12 months of lyric videos

With the new lyric video for “Chiquitita” a sequel series started last month, which is planned for the next 12 months: In the course of the year, lyric videos for all tracks of the greatest hits album “ABBA Gold” will be released be uploaded in a new design. The next video is announced for April 6th, making it the Commemorating the 48th anniversary of ABBA’s victory in the Eurovision Song Contest winning song “Waterloo”.

At the end of May, the virtual “ABBA Avatar” show will also start in London, in line with the box release. The band had an arena built for this purpose alone, which can be set up and dismantled at any location. Björn Ulvaeus recently announced that all four ABBA members will be present at the opening show on May 26th. It is still unclear whether the series will soon come to Germany. For the fans in this country, the Swedes have at least one quiz ready and “exciting news” have also been announced.
