Marcella Ensel-Boonstra is the new chair of the business and employers’ organization VNO-NCW MKB Noord. This was decided today during the General Members Meeting. The new chairman will immediately take up her position for a period of four years. She takes over the gavel from Sieger Dijkstra, who was chairman for six years.
Ensel-Boonstra, together with her husband, is the second generation ultimately responsible for the family business Ensel Staalkonstrukties. She is also administratively active as chairman North of the Koninklijke Metaalunie, member of the Supervisory Board of Rabobank Drachten Noordoost-Friesland and as a supervisor in healthcare and education.
The new chairman wants to create a strong connection between companies and society: “I want to work based on the principles of ‘participation’ and ‘together’. I will not only commit myself to the growth of VNO-NCW MKB Noord, but also to a high involvement of our members in the core activities of the association: sharing knowledge, networking and lobbying.”
Ensel-Boonstra will therefore immediately start her new job and will have the option to extend the position after a period of four years for another two terms of two years.
