‘Christmas village’ Arkel goes all-in with lights again and McDonald’s claims a house: ‘Isn’t this gold?’

The Bazuinstraat in Arkel has been known for years for its lavish Christmas decorations, every year with a different theme. This did not go unnoticed by fast food chain McDonald’s. They offered to transform one of the houses into a gigantic Happy Meal. Homeowner Daiël Serreli (45) thinks it is ‘gold’: “McDonald’s is riding on our success.”
