The defendant was immediately summoned for vandalism and attempted theft with forced entry, but sent his cat to the hearing on November 18. In absentia, the judge ruled that G. had no intention of stealing. For vandalism, the court sentenced the Pole on Tuesday morning to four months of effective imprisonment and a fine of 400 euros.
In the judgment, the judge noted that the defendant had already received several suspended prison sentences for similar offenses in recent months. On December 11, the twenty-something year old was given an effective prison sentence of 24 months for thefts and vandalism. G. then targeted, among other things, the town hall of Roeselare.
