The jersey of Kutluay, who served in the yellow-dark blue team for many years, was hung in the Ülker Sports and Event Hall at the ceremony held before the match against the Greek team Panathinaikos AKTOR in the 16th week of the Basketball Europa League.

İbrahim Kutluay became the third name to be honored in this way, after Fenerbahçe’s former players Mirsad Türkcan and Ömer Onan.

Fenerbahçe Club President Sadettin Saran and board member Cem Ciritci presented the former national player with a specially designed portrait.

The 51-year-old basketball man played for Fenerbahçe, where he trained, between 1991-1999 and 2006-2007.

In his statement, İbrahim Kutluay stated that he had a very special and emotional moment and said, “I was 10 years old when I first wore the Çubuklu. My biggest dream was to rise to the A team and appear in front of the fans. I wore this jersey with pride for years. I am very proud to be a Fenerbahçe supporter. I would like to thank Sadettin Saran for making me experience this moment and honor.” he said.
