The 55% Bigger Salesforce Plan

By taking out the checkbook again, Salesforce is finally continuing its development program in France. Four years earlier, funding of just under 2 billion euros was unveiled, meeting the same objectives as today: developing its data center opened in 2016, hiring new employees.

It’s about a ” significant increase in investment efforts in the country, compared to the previous period », Develops Emilie Sidiqian, General Manager of Salesforce France. Rightly so, since the platform will increase its spending in France by 55%.

In the operations to be carried out, there are no surprises or novelties. The branches in Paris, Nantes, Grenoble and Lyon will be reinforced by new arrivals. It is logically the Paris office that will see its surface area increase the most over the next few years. Indeed, the Salesforce data center is installed there, and should expand again.

During its conference, the parent company of Tableau and Slack announced the arrival of its Hyperforce offer in France. It allows companies to decide where they run their applications. In particular, this gives CIOs the opportunity to ensure their proper compliance with the GDPR as well as data protection.

This development echoes the launch of the Hyperforce EU Operating Zone last year. It should allow European Salesforce customers to host and process their data on European soil. By this, the CRM giant anticipates more intense regulations in Europe, through the arrival of DMA and DSA, as well as a successor to the Privacy Shield.

The distribution of these 3 billion euros has not been revealed.
