“WE ARE FIGHTING IN A DIFFICULT GROUP”
Refik Kayıkçı, the head coach of the team, said that Group B was more challenging and his players competed well. Explaining that they worked well towards the goals they set at the beginning of the season and that they are currently at the top, Kayıkçı said:
“We are preparing ourselves better by learning from some matches. By working well day by day, hopefully we will rise to the top. We are in a difficult group, there are tougher matches than the other group. We set out at the beginning of the season with the goal of play-offs. Our work continues in this way. Another player joined us this week. Hopefully, we will come to better places. Last week, we had a difficult away match, we won the Manavgat match. This started to give the girls more morale and their self-confidence increased.”
Kayıkçı added that their position is good considering the difficulty of the group and that they will show themselves in the play-offs by finishing the league in the best place at the end of the season.
PLAYERS ARE ALSO AMBITIOUS
Dilara Gedikoğlu, one of the players, stated that they want to stay in the top ranks as a team and said:
“We are in a good position now, but we are not satisfied. We continue our work, we want to go higher and guarantee it. This is sports, there is both defeat and victory. We learn from our losses and apply them in the next matches. We are very happy to be successful in these as well.”
Berrak Deniz Kakaşçı said, “In our group, everyone can beat everyone else this season and there are tough matches. That’s why we are working to win. We plan to play better in the second half and go to the play-offs. We aim to stay in the top 4 at the end of the season and go to the play-offs and the final from there.” he said.
