Antoon’s unprofessional behavior has caused the editorial staff of RTL Boulevard to dislike him a bit. “He missed an appointment because he overslept!”
As one of the regular faces of RTL Boulevard, TV expert Rob Goossens has a lot to offer inside information when it comes to celebrities. The Weekend is therefore curious whether he knows any artists who immediately fell flat after one hit. “Or they are people who show who they really are through their fame,” says Rob.
Anthony is sleeping
There is one artist that Rob immediately thinks of in this context. “I think something about Alexia’s alleged boyfriend, our Valentine, better known as singer Antoon. He did not keep an interview appointment because he had ‘overslept’. Unprofessional.”
“Most of those who make it for a long period of time in Dutch showbiz are hard workers. The René Frogers and Dries Roelvinks of this world have long working days. On the other hand, there are those figures who have had one hit and receive a hundred messages from beautiful women on Instagram every day and think they are there.”
‘Not my thing!’
Types like Antoon are one big disappointment, Rob thinks. “Nice for them, but if you start behaving like Antoon towards people you are currently working with: no, not my thing.”
Was Antoon’s manager also sleeping? “I don’t remember the exact situation. I think his father was involved.”
Managerialism
Antoon’s father is also his manager. That in itself is understandable, says Rob. “If someone makes a lot of money very quickly, there are always plenty of people who see management as the best way to get close to stardom.”
Finally: does Rob think that Antoon really has a relationship with Princess Alexia? “I would think it would be great if they were a couple, regardless of what I think of him. Why? Just liven things up a bit!”
