A parked car on the Schanswal in Emmen went up in flames last night.
Around 3:15 am the fire brigade received a report of a car fire. When firefighters arrived at the fire, they could no longer prevent the vehicle from completely engulfing in flames.
It is still unclear how the fire started. The police are conducting investigations into possible arson.
The fire at Schanswal is the second car fire in the Emmerschans district in a week. In the night from Monday to Tuesday, a car went up in flames on the Ravelijn.
