Coach Dietmar Hirsch has extended his contract with MSV Duisburg early. The club announced this immediately before the home game against FC Erzgebirge Aue on Saturday. Hirsch’s contract was originally valid until the end of the season. The Zebras did not provide any information about the new term. Assistant Marvin Höner’s working paper was also expanded.
Hirsch has looked after MSV since the 2024/25 season. Under the 54-year-old, the club managed to return to the 3rd league at the first attempt. The Zebras are up there as newcomers after around half the season. The Duisburg team last played in the 2nd Bundesliga in 2019.
