The German tobogganers presented themselves in good form in the doubles during the Olympic season at the World Cup in Park City/USA.

In the second World Cup race, record world champion Toni Eggert and Florian Müller won on the 2002 Olympic track. Dajana Eitberger and Magdalena Matschina were successful in the women’s race. The highlight of the season is the Olympic competitions in Cortina d’Ampezzo next February.

Eggert/Müller took victory in the second World Cup race after two rounds ahead of the Americans Zachary DiGregorio and Sean Hollander as well as Ivan Nagler with Fabian Malleier from Italy. Record Olympic champion Tobias Wendl came seventh with Tobias Arlt. In the overall ranking, the Austrians Juri Thomas Gatt and Riccardo Martin Schöpf are at the top ahead of Eggert/Müller and Wendl/Arlt.

Eitberger and Matschina secured their first success among the women. The German duo had the best time after two rounds compared to the Austrians Selina Eggle and Lara Michaela Kipp and the third-place finishers Jessica Degenhardt and Cheyenne Rosenthal from Germany. Eggle/Kipp are tied at the top in the overall ranking ahead of Degenhardt/Rosenthal and Eitberger/Matschina.
