Queen Máxima is doing well in the popularity polls, although she is often criticized for her poor command of the Dutch language. And now there’s her appearance. “Uncared for!”

In April, Queen Máxima received a rating of 7.5 from the Dutch public, according to research by Ipsos. That was slightly higher than last year, when she received a 7.3. She certainly scores better than King Willem-Alexander, who scored 6.9 this year. And yet our queen is not exempt from critical opinions.

Oily hair

It is often her poor Dutch that is criticized, but Story boss Guido den Aantrekker thinks that she also looks increasingly unkempt. He points to the desk Show news on her appearance during the state visit of the Finnish presidential couple to our country (see photo above).

The magazine maker sneers: “I heard a lot of criticism from the ladies in the editorial office, that she really has a kind of stracciatella haircut. Lots of blonde with roots. Is that chic enough in those circles? It often looks a bit sloppy, a bit greasy. She often looks a bit unkempt, I hear.”

Achenebish

Royalty fan Sandra Schuurhof states that this growth is something typically Argentinian and therefore does not necessarily have to be unkempt. “It’s a bit Argentinian, isn’t it? That dark on top and blond below.”

“They sometimes disrespectfully call it the taxi look, because there you have all those yellow taxis with those black roofs. That’s really true. It’s not Achenebish at all.”
