Former Schalke player

Taylan Bulut has been out of action for Besiktas for several weeks. This was made possible because the former Schalke player could not be registered with the association as a foreign professional, but as a local professional. However, the 19-year-old has only played 90 minutes of playing time in one game since mid-October. This is said to have prompted the father of the young professional, who was born in Eschweiler, to call the club management – pending his wish to return to Germany; a “completely baseless” rumor, says Besiktas.

“The reports circulating in the media and social networks that the father of our professional footballer Taylan Bulut called our president Serdal Adalı and said that our player was dissatisfied and wanted to return to Germany are completely unfounded,” emphasized Besiktas in a club statement on Friday. The Black Eagles asked their fans not to believe the rumors. Those reports were made up and were deliberately spread before the transfer window opened.

On the other hand, Bulut probably has little reason to be satisfied; At least in terms of sport, things aren’t going well at all. His sale to FC Schalke, at €6 million, the second most expensive of a teenage player, caused a stir in the summer. However, the North Rhine-Westphalian has been sitting on the bench for the Black and Whites for weeks. He only got significant playing time once in the league and the Conference League qualification. Each game was preceded by two short joker bets. At national team level, Bulut competes with the DFB juniors. In the fall he was used four times in the U20 Elite League. He has been on the field for all of Germany’s youth teams since the U16 level.

At Besiktas, Gökhan Sazdağı (31) plays as a regular in Bulut’s right-back position, who cost a quarter of what Bulut’s transfer from Gelsenkirchen required in the summer. “I spoke to Kenan Karaman and Loris Karius,” Bulut reported after his move about an exchange with Schalke colleagues who had already played for Besiktas. “Both of them have only told me good things. I will always do my best. I hope to play as many games as possible and win the championship. I will give everything for our fans. Let’s see how the season goes.”
