In December, unknown persons attacked American F16 pilots with laser beams near the American air base of Spangdahlem, 25 km north of Trier. German police are investigating three such incidents, which occurred on December 2 and 9, between 8 and 8:30 p.m. Because there is dangerous disruption to air traffic, an investigation is being conducted.
