The fashion house Brioni, which belongs to the French luxury goods group Kering, and the Austrian designer Norbert Stumpfl are going their separate ways after seven years, according to a report in the specialist medium Women’s Wear Daily (WWD).

Stumpfl was appointed Creative Director of the brand in 2018 as the successor to Nina-Maria Nitsche. He previously held leadership roles on the design teams of Berluti, Balenciaga and Lanvin. Stumpfl had also already worked for Louis Vuitton and Adidas.

Kering had already appointed a new managing director for Brioni in May. Since then, Federico Arrigoni, who was previously deputy CEO of the Saint Laurent brand, which also belongs to the group, has led the Italian fashion house. According to the WWD report, it is not yet known who will take over Brioni’s creative direction in the future.
