Bridges, locks and tunnels in poor condition, requiring tens of billions for maintenance

Rijkswaterstaat and ProRail are sounding the alarm. Many roads, railway lines, tunnels, bridges and locks are increasingly damaged and worn out. A large part of the infrastructure from the 1950s and 1960s urgently needs to be renovated, the service reported on Monday. But there is more than 54 billion euros too little available.
