The first chance was a good one for the visitors: sloppy defending and Santens was able to finish nicely. 0-1 after less than fifteen minutes. Torhout did have chances, but twice came up against the Gullegem goalkeeper. Even after the break, the home team looked for a goal and the visitors took advantage of this. After seven minutes in the second half it was already 0-2.
Torhout tried in vain to score quickly with long shots from Dewaele and De Laender. With 10 minutes to play, Christiaens was able to score the tying goal, but the visitors did not score further.
