What happened to Jutta Leerdam last week?
Last week – a month before the start of the OKT (Olympic Qualifying Tournament) in Heerenveen – Leerdam was knocked off her bicycle.
The skater then announced on Tiktok. “To the man who was on his stupid phone while he was driving and drove me off the road,” Leerdam shows her scraped arm and face on Tiktok. “He came from the other direction and drove on my side of the road. He’s lucky I’m tough.”

The OKT in Thialf will be held from December 26 to 30. Leerdam does not yet have any Olympic gold in its possession. She really wants to win that in Milan. Her best chance appears to be individually in the 1000 meters. Leerdam finished second in the 1000 meters at the previous Winter Games.
