Just look at his curious beady eyes and you’ll melt. Tomcat Frenkie is waiting in the cat room of Dierentehuis Zoetermeer for a new owner who will offer him a safe place to live. This of course applies to all cats, but for this black tomcat it is even more important. Frenkie is blind.

According to the animal home, house-garden and kitchen cat Frenkie is a beautiful five-year-old male cat. “He is extremely sweet, affectionate, loves attention and playing. But he is also a real go-getter despite, or perhaps because of, his disability.”

Show me the way

The animal shelter is looking for a cat lover who has experience with blind cats and teaches him around the house. It is important that everything in the house is in a fixed place. This way, Frenkie gets to know his way around his new place without fail. This way he knows exactly where to go for a cuddle, food or favorite place to sleep, for example. This takes time and therefore requires some patience from the new owner.

Under supervision at the vet

At the animal home they discovered a short time ago that Frenkie had high blood pressure. He is now receiving the right medication, so everything is well under control. Please note that the vet must check the male cat regularly to see if he is doing well.

Getting to know Frenkie

All shelter animals are dewormed, deflead, microchipped, vaccinated and checked by the vet in the animal home. Would you like to meet the tomcat Frenkie? Then send an email to [email protected] with the following information:

  • your experience with cats
  • your family situation
  • your living situation

Good to know: for the necessary rest, the shelter does not place Frenkie in a home with other animals and/or children. Zoetermeer Zoo is located at Kelvinstraat 57.
