FC Sankt Pauli plays its home games at the Millerntor Stadium in Hamburg. The stadium can accommodate more than 29,000 spectators and is a stone’s throw from the world-famous Reeperbahn, the popular nightlife street in Hamburg. The Sankt Pauli district was previously known as a squatter district.

Rainbow Club

The football club FC Sankt Pauli is known as a real cult club. Its politically left-wing character is characteristic. “Kein Mensch ist Illegal” is displayed in large letters in the stadium and “Kein Fußball den Fascisten” is written on the long side.

The club thus speaks out loudly for complete acceptance and against fascism. The rainbow flags are present in large numbers around the stadium and in the stands during matches. “I think you have to fit in,” says Kaars about the club’s ideals. He leaves it open whether he himself supports it. “I don’t have to give my opinion on that.”
