Fans of soccer club Ajax took away a dying man’s last wish, British newspaper Telegraph news.

An Ajax supporter in hospice care Peter had made a wish to his caregivers that he would be able to watch his favorite team’s home game at the Johan Cruijff Arena one more time.

The request was implemented and a seat was arranged for Peter in the stadium, but right at the beginning of the match the game had to be stopped.

Ajax fans lit torches and fireworks in the stands and threw them onto the pitch. It was not safe to continue the match, so the spectators – including Peter – had to go home.

The match was played to the end the next day to empty stands. They wanted to bring Peter to the place, but when they went to pick him up, he was already in such bad shape that he couldn’t leave.

– Peter has played football all his life and also acted as a referee. Football is his whole life, so the hospice wanted him to see one more game, the charity commented on what happened.

– Peter was really disappointed when the match was cancelled. This is very frustrating.
