The Italian luxury shoe provider will continue to grow in Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) in 2025. The growth is also thanks to a new DACH boss who came from Closed at the beginning of the year.

Doucal’s is increasingly building on its wholesale business in the DACH region. For orders for the spring/summer 2026 season, the brand recorded an increase of 33 percent in Germany. As a result, the company expects sales growth of at least 20 percent. In Austria, Doucal’s was even able to increase order performance by 77 percent. In Switzerland it reported an increase of 23 percent.

“With a continually increasing number of customers and an increasingly engaged community, it is obvious that the DACH market is experiencing significant growth compared to previous years,” a spokesperson told FashionUnited. This dynamic is due to the fact that the product is “perfectly” tailored to the current expectations and requirements of the market. They also achieved “impressive sales results” with the women’s collection, which was slowly introduced onto the market.

Currently, the brand is working more with concept stores as retail is changing, while large department stores are “still going through a restructuring phase”. Nevertheless, partnerships with existing customers such as Breuninger, KaDeWe and Lodenfrey should also be further expanded. The next step is to consolidate the never-out-of-stock program and evaluate the expansion to include the women’s shoe range.

The company is also investing in additional retail and marketing activations such as pop-ups to promote the SS26 collections between February and May, and events aimed at press and selected retail partners. At the beginning of the week, Doucal’s hosted a dinner at the Berlin restaurant Borchardt in Berlin to further expand Doucal’s brand presence in Germany.

Since the beginning of the year, the brand has also had someone responsible for the market in Giulia Vitalini as Area Manager DACH. According to her own information on the career network Linkedin, she came to Doucal’s in January 2025 from the German fashion brand Closed, where she was Senior Sales Manager Central Germany. Further stops included the New York brand Theory and the luxury shoe brands Sergio Rossi and Jimmy Choo.
