A relaxed atmosphere and many smiles at the annual meeting in Abu Dhabi. Hamilton: “Here is the Class of 2025. We are the only people in the world doing what we do and for this we are incredibly lucky”
As has become tradition this year too, at the end of the last Thursday on the track of the season, the Formula 1 drivers gathered in Abu Dhabi to celebrate the end of the championship together with a group dinner. Of the twenty regular drivers in the top series, only three are absent: the two Aston Martin drivers, Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso, and the Sauber driver Nico Hulkenberg. The first to share the shot was Lewis Hamilton who accompanied the image of the drivers, embracing and smiling, with a long message: “Here is the Class of 2025. We are the only people in the world doing what we do and for this we are incredibly lucky. I am grateful for this group of drivers who I have the privilege of racing against and even though we are opponents, there is nothing short of respect between us, and I am proud to be able to call them friends. We hope to give you a great last race of the season.”

The image was then also shared by the other drivers, each with a different message: “Nice to reorganize – wrote Leclerc – and be able to spend some time together off the track”, while Esteban Ocon made sure to thank Lewis Hamilton for the dinner, who takes great care in organizing the event every year. Bortoleto instead emphasized that the dinner was full of “good laughs and good stories”, and Lando Norris chose irony by underlining that “no food was thrown during the dinner”. From tomorrow, however, we will take to the track again, for the final round of the season, where the drivers will once again become adversaries.
