New album and sold out world tour

The artist started his sixth world tour to coincide with Advent. The Brit’s only gig in Germany took him to the Bavarian capital on December 3rd. There he played a sold-out show in the Olympic Hall in front of almost 15,000 fans. The background to the tour is the release of his eighth studio album PLAY, which was released in September 2025.

Setlist and support from special guest Beoga

In Munich, the 34-year-old performed a wide repertoire of his musical career, which has catapulted him to the top of the charts for almost 15 years. The setlist included 27 songs, including fan favorites like “The A Team” and “Thinking Out Loud,” but also new hits like “Old Phone” and “Azizam.”

The songwriter brought special guest Beoga on stage for some tracks. The Irish folk band also supported him with the Christmas encore “Merry Christmas”.

14 new songs on deluxe version + world tour

To coincide with the start of the tour, Ed Sheeran released a deluxe version of his current record – with 14 new tracks. In an Instagram announcement, Sheeran revealed that the songs are a separate album of sorts. He describes the new additions as an “expansion of the play sphere” that deal with “other topics, genres, artists” and “absolutely had to come to light.”

The concert series, scheduled until November 2026, will take the songwriter to the UK, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Peru, Ecuador, Guatemala, Costa Rica and the United States for an additional 54 performances.
