The top 4 in the ranking (also Piacenza show with Padova) don’t even drop a set. Monza surprises Lube and snatches their second victory in the championship

December 3 – 11.10pm – MILAN

Midweek round of the Super League with the top four in the standings winning easily and with a surprising Monza team sending Civitanova into overdrive with a great performance.

Piacenza-PADOVA 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-18)

Fourth consecutive victory without losing a single set for Piacenza, while Padova confirms their difficulties away from home. The red and whites, orphaned by Simon stopped by a muscle problem, start off great and then find the decisive player in Gutierrez when their opponents try to make a comeback. The second set is balanced, but in the end it is the hosts who change gear thanks to an inspired Porro who finds answers from all the attackers, bringing the final half downhill.

Piacenza: Bovolenta 17 points. Team aces: 6. Team blocks: 11. Bovolenta 3 aces.

Padua: Masulovic 14 points. Team aces: 4. Team blocks: 3. Masulovic 3 aces

TRENTO-MODENA 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-21)

Trento smiles in the match between two healthy teams: the hosts win their fifth consecutive smile, Modena stops the positive streak at three. The guests started better, but once ahead 14-10 Giuliani’s team slowed down and suffered the return of Itas who arrived at double speed thanks to the serve and some opponent errors. The second half was also balanced, at least up to 18 points. Then Mendez’s boys again set the tone, giving themselves the double advantage and a relatively calm third set.

Trent: Michieletto 16 points. Team aces: 6. Team blocks: 7. Michieletto 3 aces

Modena: Davyskiba 15 points. Team Aces: 5. Team Blocks: 3

VERONA–CISTERNA 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-18)

The race continues at the top with a Verona team that clearly defeats Cisterna in a race that has had little history. Soli’s team prevailed in all fundamentals, always keeping their opponents away in terms of scoring, with a stellar attack (65% positivity) while the Pontini team rarely created difficulties for the Venetians, who were always in control of the match. Mozic and Keita lead the Scaliger attack in double figures, but Cortesia (88% in attack) also showed a high level performance. Among the guests, Mazzone saves himself from the block while Bayram disappoints.

Verona: Mozic 15 points. Walls team 7. Aces team 6.

Tank: Guzzo 10 points. Walls team 3. Aces team 1.

MONZA–CIVITANOVA 3-1 (25-23, 25-21, 21-25, 25-14)

Big blow for Vero Volley who, after 5 consecutive defeats and only one match won, obtained the scalp of a big player like Civitanova, which confirmed its difficulties in away matches. Medei revolutionizes his team in difficulty at the beginning, but only achieves success in the third set, despite a still superb performance from Nikolov (top scorer) who hooks and surpasses the Zorzi monument in the red and white points. Monza displayed the best match of its season, with serves and, above all, blocks that excelled, in a truly continuous team performance with very few flaws. Rohrs and Scanferla among the protagonists of the success, in attack also Atanasov and Padar in double figures hurt the players from the Marches who were too foul and careless.

Monza: Rohrs points 17. Team blocks 13. Team aces 8. Padar 3 aces. Rohrs 6 walls, Beretta 3 walls.

Civitanova: Nikolov 26 points. Blocks team 7. Aces team 6. Nikolov 5 aces, Nikolov 3 blocks.

GROTTAZZOLINA–PERUGIA 0-3 (23-25, 21-25, 21-25)

The spin has little history, with Perugia imposing itself with authority in the presence of a Yuasa Battery that was too foul, still without any successes and last in the standings which is alive especially in the first set, only to then suffer the power and superior class of the Umbrians who put the match down thanks to a serve that creates many problems for the Marche reception. Sir where Loser shines on the block while a good attack is not enough for the hosts, with the excellent Magalini, top scorer and point of reference, to be able to extend the match.

Grottazzolina: Magalini 16 points. Blocks team 3. Ace team 4. Golzadeh 3 aces.

Perugia: Ben Tara 12 points. Blocks team 5. Ace team 7. Loser 3 blocks
