Midweek round of the Super League with the top four in the standings winning easily and with a surprising Monza team sending Civitanova into overdrive with a great performance.

Piacenza-PADOVA 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-18)

Fourth consecutive victory without losing a single set for Piacenza, while Padova confirms their difficulties away from home. The red and whites, orphaned by Simon stopped by a muscle problem, start off great and then find the decisive player in Gutierrez when their opponents try to make a comeback. The second set is balanced, but in the end it is the hosts who change gear thanks to an inspired Porro who finds answers from all the attackers, bringing the final half downhill.

Trento smiles in the match between two healthy teams: the hosts win their fifth consecutive smile, Modena stops the positive streak at three. The guests started better, but once ahead 14-10 Giuliani’s team slowed down and suffered the return of Itas who arrived at double speed thanks to the serve and some opponent errors. The second half was also balanced, at least up to 18 points. Then Mendez’s boys again set the tone, giving themselves the double advantage and a relatively calm third set.

The race continues at the top with a Verona team that clearly defeats Cisterna in a race that has had little history. Monza displayed the best match of its season, with serves and, above all, blocks that excelled, in a truly continuous team performance with very few flaws.
