Shock for FC Bayern: 40 seconds after the restart in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup at Union Berlin, Aleksandar Pavlović limped across the pitch. Shortly afterwards, the German international sat down on the ground and had to be treated on his left thigh. A little later it became clear: Things couldn’t go any further for Pavlović.
Coach Vincent Kompany reacted immediately and brought Leon Goretzka into the game, which at the time was 3-1 for Munich. Meanwhile, Pavlović went straight to the dressing room.
The 21-year-old was last out in August due to an eye injury. What will happen next for Pavlović is still unclear.
