At just 19 years old, Nathalie Armbruster is already the winner of the overall World Cup. Things are also going well for the DSV star in his private life – with this man.
For Nathalie Armbruster, the year could hardly be more successful – and in more ways than one. In March, the overall World Cup winner celebrated her greatest sporting success to date in Nordic combined and she is happily in a relationship in her private life.
After her triumph at Holmenkollen in Oslo, the 19-year-old turned to the people who particularly support her: “I would like to thank my family and my friend. Tomorrow I will hold this ball in my hands, wow.” The friend mentioned is Nico Zarucchi, a 22-year-old combined athlete from Switzerland.
The Swiss winter athlete not only accompanies you through life, but also to the competition routes. The two athletes have also prepared together for the coming season, as posts on their Instagram profiles show. Armbruster also just shared an emotional post on the occasion of the couple’s first anniversary with the words: “One year of you and me… And I couldn’t be more excited to spend my whole life with you.”
In addition to sport and love, the 19-year-old also finished school and graduated from high school this year. When asked which was more difficult to achieve, the World Cup victory or the Abitur, Armbruster answered in a “Eurosport” interview: “From my point of view, it was equally difficult. I had to study hard for the Abitur because I was only at school 50 percent of the time. So I had to catch up on a lot and teach myself some things. It was extremely hard to reconcile both.”
The combiner has now joined the Bundeswehr’s sports promotion group at the Todtnau/Fahl location and is fully concentrating on her sporting career. She would like to fight for a top three placement in the overall World Cup in the 2025/2026 season.
