Marco van Basten found the scenes on Sunday evening in the Johan Cruijff Arena “profoundly sad”. The former Ajax player and trainer sees a major problem in the Netherlands regarding supporters and, in his opinion, too little is being done about it. Van Basten therefore thinks that soldiers may be needed to ensure safety in football stadiums.
