Mathilda Paatz has done it: She has got a contract with Aston Martin and wants to achieve great things in motorsport.

She is a racing driver and still has big dreams. Mathilda Paatz has now come a little closer to this: The 17-year-old German has received a contract with Aston Martin and will drive in the F1 Academy in the future.

The Cologne native prevailed in a selection process and asserted herself against three competitors. She inherited her love of motorsport from her father, as she revealed in an interview with her racing team: “My father is a racing driver. He has his own team and, among other things, competed in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring.”

Paatz finished second at the Red Bull Ring in the Formula 4 championship this year. She still raves about it: “It was a great feeling to show everyone what I can do.” Regarding her goals, Paatz said: “I want to climb as high as possible in the formula racing pyramid, and my biggest dream would be to drive a Formula 1 car.”
