The first competition where Van Aert will start is on December 20 during the World Cup in Antwerp. The three-time world champion will also participate in Hofstade, Heusden-Zolder, Dendermonde, Loenhout, Mol, Zonhoven and during the Belgian championship in Beringen.
“The Christmas period is certainly a phase of the cyclo-cross season that I like to be part of,” said Van Aert on the Visma-Lease a Bike website.
“Because of the crosses themselves, the large numbers of supporters present thanks to the holidays and the fact that crosses fit perfectly into my build-up at that time in my preparation for the big classics on the road.”
