Outgoing Minister of Defense Ruben Brekelmans makes an announcement in the Good Morning Netherlands program. He says that the Netherlands will send several Patriot systems to Poland. According to him, this is in line with the agreements made within NATO. That agreement is that protection is provided to the most vulnerable part of NATO. Patriot systems are American anti-aircraft and missile defense systems that can shoot down enemy drones or missiles. The Netherlands is now sending two of the three systems to Poland to protect the area there. Meanwhile, talks are underway for a possible peace deal between Ukraine and Russia to end the war.
