Finland sensationally finished fourth in biathlon mixed relay at the World Cup competition in Östersund, Sweden.
Never before has Finland reached such a high level in the mixed relay of the World Cup, which has been part of the competition program since 2005. It’s an Olympic trip.
Skiing in the Finnish team Tuomas Harjula, Tero Seppälä, Inka Hämäläinen mixed Suvi Minkkinenwho clocked the second fastest leg time of the anchor section.
– It was a pleasure to notice that I was able to keep up the pace. Last season I was able to ski hard when I could do the speed distribution myself. The race was won by France, whose colors they skied Emilien Jacquelin, Eric Perrot, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet and Lou Jeanmonnot. Finland was one minute and 45 seconds behind the winners.
Italy was second and Norway third in the relay.
