Monviso-Vallefoglia 2-3 (22-25, 25-23, 25-21, 23-25, 13-15)

Al Pala Bus Company passes Megabox in the tie-break. The Marches manage to straighten out a match that seemed to be going in the direction of Monviso, and they do so with stubbornness and cynicalness. Biancoverdi returning to success, while the difficult period of the Piedmontese team continues, with their fourth consecutive defeat. For Vallefoglia Bici pushes hard in attack (18 points and MVP), together with Omoruyi (14) and Butigan (13). Too many errors for the home sextet (32), with Daviskyba (24) and D’odorico (17) doing well in attack. Megabox which rises to 15 points in the standings, while Moviso, thanks to today’s point, stands at 11.

Chieri takes the third consecutive victory and does so with a clear 3-0, in one hour and twenty minutes, against the freshman San Giovanni in Marignano. The Piedmontese did well in the offensive phase (53%), with Nervini, Kunzler and Cekulaev in double figures. The serve was good, with 7 aces and the defensive and receiving phase was also good. For San Giovanni, only Piovesan in double figures in attack (10). Chieri flies to third place with 26 points, while San Giovanni remains at the bottom of the table with 7.

S. Giovanni in Marignano: Piovesan 10 points, team blocks 3, team aces 2

Macerata-Scandicci 0-3 (15-25, 24-26, 16-25)

Savino del Bene hits the newly promoted Cbf Balducci like a hurricane 3-0. Gaspari’s girls, with the exception of the second set, which they won by advantage, dominated far and wide, putting the Marche defense in serious difficulty. Antropova, together with the entire Savino attack department, hammered for the entire duration of the match. The one designing balls, assists and kissing trajectories is Maja Ognjenovic, 42 years old next August, director and metronome of Scandicci. For Macerata, the usual Kokkonen (10 points) and Decortes (11) attack and try to penetrate the Tuscan defense. Savino del Bene Scandicci who, with these 3 points, strengthens the second position at 31 points, while for Cbf Macerata the fourth consecutive defeat leaves the Marche sextet at 11 points.

Macerata: Decortes 11 points, team blocks 2, team aces 3

Scandicci: Antropova 16 points, team blocks 9, team aces 4.

MILAN-BUSTO 3-1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-20)

Milan recovers from a bad first set by beating Uyba 3-1. Numia closes their first round (the thirteenth round has already been brought forward) with 29 points, which is not enough to guarantee the quarter of the Italian Cup at home (if Novara and Chieri were to reach them next week, they would have more victories). The match saw Busto very lucid in the first set, and with an extraordinary Obossa (9/11) the butterflies surprised Milan, who attacked with a paltry 34%. The vehement response comes from MVP Paola Egonu, who finishes with 29 points (21/34 in the last 3 sets) and dominates the match without discussion, dragging her teammates along. Busto responds as best he can, but drops at distance, also due to the growth of the opponent’s block.

Milan: Egonu 29 points, Muri team 13 (Danesi and Egonu 5), Ace team 2.

Bust: Obossa 24 points, Muri team 9, Ace team 1.

Florence-Bergamo 0-3 (20-25, 20-25, 22-25)

Bergamo scores a third consecutive success in Florence (0-3), regaining its place in the playoffs at the expense of its Tuscan opponents. A match dominated by Parisi’s girls, who ran away at the beginning of each set, slowing down (only partially) in the final. The Orobic team prevailed thanks to their serve (the home reception was at its peak) and the block (14 on target). The Bisonte struggled in every fundamental, including the attack, and with Knollema out of the game they couldn’t find the right answers.

Florence: Villani and Tanase 10 points, Muri team 4, Ace team 0.

Bergamo: Kipp 18 points, Muri team 14 (Meli 6), Ace team 2.
