A car crashed into a ditch on Saturday morning on the A59 between Waspik and the Hooipolder junction. Remarkably, the driver had disappeared without a trace.
Judging from the damage, the car probably rolled over and ended up in the ditch.
Environment examined
The emergency services responded en masse to the accident, but there was no trace of the driver. The fire brigade still searched the area and the water.
The police are looking for the owner of the car. A recovery company lifted the car out of the ditch.
