Kalle Rovanperän The World Cup rally career ended on Saturday, when he drove to the finish of the final stage in Saudi Arabia.

A passionate map reader Jonne Halttunen wiped his eyes when Rovanperä drove his Toyota over the finish line for the last time.

Rovanperä won two World Championship titles in his career, in 2022 and 2023. Next, he will move on to track racing.

This is how Rovanperä commented on his career after the last ek in Saudi Arabia.

– It’s been pretty awesome. I have to say a big thank you to Jonne first of all. We’ve had good times together. We have achieved good results, but above all I remember the fun times we shared.

– Thank you to everyone who has been on the journey. There are so many people from the beginning. Special thanks to Toyota and everyone in the team for the past years. Of course, thanks to the supporters as well.

– There are so many people to thank. I can’t thank everyone, but you know if you’ve been along for the ride. Thanks to the competitors for the good fights.

– Good luck to Seb (Sébastien Ogier) if he wins the championship. He totally deserves it. He’s been good this year.

– Special thanks to one guy. There is probably no one in my life who has seen every ek or race live, but he has followed everything. Thanks Jasse. I know he’s the only person since day one, so thank you.

Rovanperä was third in this season’s World Championship points. Ogier won the championship.
