Shortly before the top game against Leverkusen, BVB has to do without Maximilian Beier. The professional failed the endurance test.

Borussia Dortmund is expected to go into the top Bundesliga game against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday without Maximilian Beier (from 6:30 p.m. in the t-online live ticker). The 23-year-old has recently been suffering from muscular problems and probably failed the stress test during the final training session. He is therefore missing from the squad.

Beier suffered a muscle strain in the home game against VfB Stuttgart last weekend (3:3). During the week he already missed the Champions League duel against Villarreal (4-0). The German international has appeared in 16 competitive games for BVB so far this season. He scored three goals and three assists. It remains to be seen whether he will be fit again by the next competitive game.

Dortmund’s next duel with the “Werkself” is on Tuesday. In the DFB Cup round of 16, the “Black and Yellows” will host Leverkusen in their own stadium. Both teams are aiming for a place in the quarter-finals from 9 p.m. in the t-online live ticker).
