Below you can see the farewell service of René Karst on Wednesday, November 26. Friends and family said goodbye to Karst in the Tamboer in Hoogeveen.

Karst died unexpectedly last Friday. Thousands of fans came to the Hoogeveen theater on Wednesday afternoon for a final farewell to the popular singer. The doors of the theater then closed for a private farewell service.

During the service, speeches were given by family and acquaintances of the singer. There were also several musical contributions. For example, his sister Erikah Karst sang a song and his band performed.

Karst was posthumously awarded a gold record for his song That really doesn’t interest me one bit.
