Cecilia, to start, tell us how Borges was born.
Borges was born in 1885, founded by my great-grandfather. Since then we have specialized in the security field, mainly with the manufacture and sale of safes. As generations passed, the company grew and adapted to new needs, always maintaining the same premise: taking care of what people value most.
What products and services do you offer?
Today our main business continues to be the sale of safes, but in the last 10 years we incorporated a new business unit: biometric and electronic locks. In addition, we offer complementary services that differentiate us: reconditioning of old boxes to make them like new, specialized technical service (including opening of our own boxes and those of other brands), nationwide transfers and even dismantling of very heavy boxes that cannot be lowered by stairs. Our goal is to provide complete and reliable solutions to each customer.
How are they projected in the medium term?
We want to bring the brand closer to a wider audience. We are evaluating opening a store in a shopping center or massive commercial space, where we can show both our safes and the new line of imported residential locks, which have great growth potential in the Argentine market.
What makes them stand out in the market?
Fundamentally, customer service. Borges combines more than 135 years of experience with a close and human service. We offer personalized advice, a showroom to see and try the products, and after-sales service that is not common in this field. This combination of historical experience and close treatment allows us to make a real difference compared to the competition.
