Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp had a crush on each other as children. The “Stranger Things” stars talk about their special relationship.

Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp have a deep friendship that has lasted since the beginning of the hit series “Stranger Things”. Schnapp is, among other things, the godfather of Brown’s recently adopted daughter.

First meeting and instant connection

In a joint interview with Vogue published on November 25, the two 21-year-olds talked about their first impression of each other. Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, said he remembers meeting Brown for the first time before she got her head shaved for her role as Eleven in Season 1. According to Schnapp, he didn’t recognize Brown without his hair.

He also said that he felt an “immediate” connection with Brown: “I thought you were so funny and I felt very comfortable around you,” the actor said.

Childish crush

Schnapp, who announced he was gay in 2023, joked that Brown was attracted to him when they first met. Brown responded that she “really had a huge crush on him” as a child: “I loved you so much. But I think it was actually just platonic. I was like, ‘Oh my God, I love him so much,'” Brown told her Stranger Things co-star. Schnapp also said there was a time when he thought he was “in love with Brown.”

Sibling friendship

Above all, what remains is a friendship that extends far beyond the series. They had previously told the media that they were siblings. When asked what they will miss most about the series, Schnapp and Brown told “Entertainment Tonight” in November 2025: “Each other.”

The first four episodes of the fifth season of “Stranger Things” have been available on Netflix since November 26th. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the fifth and final season in recent years. Now that the first four episodes of the big series finale have been released, episodes 5 to 7 will follow on December 26th at 2 a.m. The finale will then be broadcast on New Year’s Day.

The creators of the series have already confirmed in interviews that there is a time jump of 18 months between the finale of the fourth season and the first episode of the fifth season. All characters are back in the series town of Hawkins and living under military quarantine. Additionally, the creators confirmed to Variety that the finale will be “around two hours” long. The grand finale should also clarify an important question: what exactly the “Upside Down” actually is, from which the series’ monsters and villains come – and whether the beloved series heroes can defeat it in the end.
