Ferd Grapperhaus, former minister in Mark Rutte’s last cabinet, arrived at Pauw & De Wit much too late last night. As a result, he walked into the studio when the show had already started.

If you are invited to a talk show, it is customary to appear in the corridors well before the broadcast, so that make-up and technology have enough time for the preparations. However, Ferd Grapperhaus arrived at Pauw & De Wit much too late yesterday, so there was not enough time to get him to the table on time.

‘Of course sloppy’

Ferd showed up to the show almost ten minutes late. The viewer saw him walk through the set and take a seat at the table. This is really not possible, says TV critic Victor Vlam.

It’s just incredibly messy, he judges X. “Ferd Grapperhaus walked in about 10 minutes after the start of Pauw & De Wit. He seems to have left home too late. This happens very rarely and is of course careless.”

‘He’s there too often’

Dee, a follower of Victor, thinks that Ferd is on the show too often anyway. Why is that? Victor then says: “I wonder that too. He is there very often. His ministership was not without controversies, including the wedding party during Corona times. But now he is portrayed in that program as the political oracle. Remarkable.”

A certain Geer agrees: “What is that man even doing there? He is portrayed as an old, wise, experienced politician, while he was only a minister for four years. In a disaster cabinet too. He has nothing to say!”
