New nativity scene on Brussels Grand Place surprises: faceless Mary and Joseph must ensure inclusion

Anyone who visits the nativity scene on the Brussels Grand Place this year is in for a surprise. No classic plaster statues in a wooden stall, but a modern installation made of recycled textiles. Strikingly, the figures have not been given a face: “Everyone must recognize themselves in them.”
