Presenter Christoffer Strandberg tells Apu magazine in a recent interview that the last two years have been the most difficult of his life.

Strandberg says that he got into a “dark place” last year. One of the tragedies that befell Strandberg’s life was that of a dear friend Janne Puhakan death. The ex-spouse murdered Puhaka, 29, in their shared home in October 2024.

Strandberg and Puhakka worked together Traitorsin the series. Strandberg acts as the host of the program, Puhakka competed in the second production season of the program. Puhakka died while the season’s show was still in progress. Filming for the next season began shortly after Puhaka’s death.

– Last fall’s filming was a shock for me, although it might not have been visible on the outside. I was just trying to survive, says Strandberg in an interview with Apu magazine.

Strandberg says that he has also experienced other sorrows and losses that he does not want to talk about publicly.

– There are all kinds of things behind the smiling faces, Strandberg reminds.

Traitors in addition, Strandberg has also been seen on television in recent years, among other things Top Gear Finland and Lego Masters Finland as host.

Strandberg said earlier Aki Linnanahde Talk Show podcast, that the fourth season of Petlotliste was filmed just a few days after Puhaka’s death. Despite his shock, Strandberg wanted to participate in the filming.

– I also feel that we also do honor to Janne in some way by continuing to live, even though it didn’t seem like life would continue at the time, Strandberg said in the podcast.

Traitors there was a crisis psychologist on the set, whom Strandberg wanted to visit to check that he was definitely fit for work and not just fooling himself. The psychologist described Strandberg as being in shock and also said that it will take at least a few weeks to understand what happened. That’s what happened.

Strandberg honored Puhaka’s memory with an Instagram update he published in June.

– As a person, Janne was anything but the way he was taken from us. His words and actions are too important not to continue that work, and specifically talking about him, remembering him and thanking him, the presenter wrote.

– But Janne was also a friend and a role model, a person who, with his courage, played his cards up so that the world would be a place where everyone could live on their own. We need Janne’s message and calm but strong energy now more than ever. Look at what kind of little men rule the world! So let’s talk about Janne, let’s continue his work. I will, Strandberg continued.

Norwegian Rolf Nordmo was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Puhaka.
