A ‘penny index’ on your salary and your pension: here you can read down to the cent how much it could cost you every month

There will be no general index jump, but the wages of those who earn more than 4,000 euros gross will be indexed less. Pensions above 2,000 euros also do not receive full indexation. HLN checked and double-checked the figures and calculated what the ‘cent index’ means in concrete terms for someone with a pension of 2,500 euros or a gross salary of 4,500, 5,000 or 6,000 euros. This is how many euros about 2 million Belgians will miss.
