Family from Stabroek receives 11 hearses and 65 taxi drivers at their door without asking: “Always for my allegedly ‘dead’ daughter”

In Stabroek a family lives in complete fear and isolation. A mother (68), her daughter (45) — who has a severe disability — and grandson (22) have been receiving unsolicited visits from taxi drivers and funeral directors for weeks. “Always for my so-called ‘dead’ daughter,” says the mother. The family and several funeral directors have filed a complaint against an unknown stalker. “I don’t dare go outside anymore. I don’t sleep anymore. I want to move. But I do have a suspicion who it is.”
