The UN climate summit COP30 in Belém resulted in an agreement after difficult negotiations. All countries present on Saturday accepted the final declaration drawn up by host country Brazil. Although much of the COP30 was about phasing out fossil fuels, nothing concrete was agreed on this. The EU is very dissatisfied with this, but agreed anyway because there was no more option.
