You as a Zoetermeer probably have a few favorite shops in Zoetermeer. How nice would it be if things in our city ended up high in the election of the trade association INretail?!

You can vote here from Friday, November 21 to Friday, January 16. You can nominate stores from different categories such as home furnishings, toys, gifts and household items. The results of the election will be known in early February 2026.
Joyce Verdijk of Inretail: “We want to put stores in the spotlight with the election. Especially in a time of online competition, we think it is important that physical stores continue to exist.” Because let’s face it: you can’t have a chat or ask for advice at an online store while trying on shoes.
Tips and tops
Joyce continues: “We ask voters to think carefully about why exactly they are nominating a store.” Is the service great, does a shop dog greet you every time with a wagging tail or does the store have so many great products that you succeed every time?
After the election, entrepreneurs can request a report. It contains the compliments they received from voters. But also areas for improvement. Joyce: “So they know how to make the store even more fun.”
