Three-point victory for Scandicci against Monviso in advance of the first return match (which for the other teams will be played when the Tuscans are busy with the Club World Cup). It ends 3-1 at Pala BigMat, in a match with two faces. Savino Del Bene started very strong in the first two periods (7 aces): first set without history, second almost, with Traballi (starter thrown like Bechis) protagonist together with Weitzel. But the Piedmontese team rose again with the entry of Dodson and the growth of Davyskiba; the guests’ serve sends the home team into haywire and the match reopens until 19-21 in the fourth set, when Antropova, MVP, takes her teammates by the hand, leading them to a full post.
Scandicci: Antropova 28 points. Muri team 9 (Antropova 4). Ace team 9 (Antropova 3).
Monviso: Davyskiba 16 points. Walls team 4. Aces team 6 (Dodson 4).
Conegliano – Busto Arsizio 3-2 (25-23, 28-30, 25-14, 25-27)

And there are 12 for Imoco Volley. It ends like in the first match of this season, with the butterflies frightening the panthers, forcing them to close the match with a tie-break. An exciting match, which lasted more than two hours and with 8 players in double figures. Conegliano’s match began on an uphill climb and they then did well to recover, also thanks to Busto’s too many errors (10) in the first set. A fight also in the second, where they ended with the advantages, while in the third the Venetians seemed to have resumed their usual rhythm, but in the fourth it was again the guests who came out on top. Santarelli’s multiple champions close in the fifth thanks to Adigwe’s ace. The Lombards are, so far, the only ones to have “taken” two points from Santarelli’s girls who, however, maintain their unbeaten record in the championship.
Conegliano: Sillah 19 points. Blocks team 14. Aces team 7 (4 Adigwe)
Busto Arsizio: Parra 22 points. Walls team 3. Aces team 5
